Ted Lerner

Ted Lerner got his start in 1952 when he borrowed $250 from his wife to start a real estate company. Now he owns the Washington Nationals and plays an integral part in the DC real estate community. He owns more than 20M SF of commercial and retail space and 7,000 apartments.

He’s invested heavily in the Tysons area and tells Bisnow he’s most excited about the Residences at Tysons II. Ted’s on the short list of developers to build the new FBI HQ in the DC metropolitan area. When not engaged in real estate, Ted gives back to a long list of causes including charities, hospitals and the arts.
