Stephen Ross

Stephen Ross is behind the largest private real estate project in the country. His $15B Hudson Yards broke ground in 2012; the 28-acre neighborhood on Manhattan’s West Side will complete in 2024. Stephen also developed Hunters Point South in Queens, the largest affordable housing complex built in NYC since the 1970s. He also owns One Central Park and built the Time Warner Center. Across the country, his Related Companies will develop a 239-acre mixed-use community in Santa Clara and projects adjacent to the Disney Concert Hall in LA.

Stephen grew up in Detroit, moved to Miami Beach in high school, and finally landed in NYC after law school. He got his start in real estate after being fired from two jobs in two years. He made a business plan and vowed never to go to an interview again. His entrepreneurship took off from there. Not content just with real estate, Stephen owns the Miami Dolphins and a stake in Equinox fitness centers and SoulCycle.
