Neil Bluhm

Neil Bluhm began his career as a lawyer and then abandoned his partner position at a Chicago law firm to seek his fortune in real estate. In 1969, he co-founded JMB Realty with little more than a credit card to his name and his old college roommate and built a truly national portfolio that has in more recent years expanded to include casinos.

Following the real estate crash of the 1990s, Neil founded Walton Street Capitol, a private equity firm, where he now serves as managing principal. He’s also co-founder and chairman of Rush Street Gaming, which owns and operates multiple casinos in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi. With a career that spans more than 40 years, Neil’s real estate and casino projects total some $50B. A true Chicago sports fan, he’s a minority owner of the beloved Chicago Whitesox and Chicago Bulls.
