|Larry Silverstein is the chairman of Silverstein Propertien, a Manhattan-based real estate development and investment firm that has developed, owned and managed 35M SF of office, residential, hotel and retail space and has another $8B of properties in the pipeline. Over the course of his long career, Larry has owned and managed countless commercial and residential properties throughout NYC, including 120 Broadway, 120 Wall Street, 529 Fifth Avenue and 1177 Avenue of the Americas.
Larry is perhaps most known, however, for his 99-year, $3.25B lease on the 10.6M SF World Trade Center in 2001, only months before the iconic buildings were destroyed in the 9/11 attacks. Since then, Larry has started a $20B, multi-property mega-project to rebuild the WTC, which he expects to consume the rest of his working days. He’s also developing a Four Seasons hotel and private residences in Lower Manhattan. At 82-stories, the Robert A.M. Stern-designed residential tower will be one of the tallest in New York.
