Richard LeFrak’s family has deep roots in the New York area, dating back to 1901. He owns more than 16M SF of commercial, residential and retail properties in Newport, NJ and a 5,000-unit apartment complex in Queens, NY and has a number of major developments underway. He’s partnering with Turnberry Associates to build SoLeMia, a 183-acre, $4B master-planned community opening in Miami in 2018.
The LeFrak Organization also recently started the Ellipse, a 43-story, circular glass tower in Jersey City. Richard serves as director of The Partnership for New York City, on the board of trustees of Amherst College and as a trustee of the American Museum of Natural History.
