A Native New Yorker, Robert Sillerman made fortune early buying and selling TV and radio stations in the 1980s and '90s, including selling SFX Broadcasting (and its 71 radio stations) to Hicks Muse for $2.1B 1998. He then unloaded SFX Entertainment—which includes concert promotion and sports agency companies—to Clear Channel for $4.4B in 2000.
An avid investor, Robert has hitched himself to hits like American Idol and the Broadway version of The Producers. He also purchased the majority stake in Elvis Presley’s Graceland estate. During the past decade, Robert has made a fortune in the Electronic Dance Music ("EDM") scene, spending up to $1B on EDM acquisitions like clubs, festivals, promoters, and service providers.
