JonathanGray started at Blackstone Group as an asset manager after graduating college in 1992. Now he heads Blackstone’s real estate group, managing $94B of the company’s more than $300B in assets with an 18% net return annualized over the last two decades.
One of Jonathan’s biggest deals was acquiring Hilton in 2007 for $26B. He serves as chairman of the board of Hilton Worldwide and is also on the board of Brixmor Property Group. Last October, Blackstone and Ivanhoe Cambridge finalized a massive $5.3B acquisition of New York’s Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village. Jonathan has a dual degree from University of Pennsylvania and Wharton. He has given more than $30M to the University of Pennsylvania to help cancer research.
