Jeff Sutton

Sutton's property commands some of the highest rents in the country, and he’s landlord to some of New York City's top brands. For instance, 717 Fifth Ave—home to Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, and Escada—commands roughly $38M a year. Sutton graduated from Wharton and started out as a retail broker.

His first deal ever was when he got a lease for a Payless Shoe Source executive in a space that wasn't even available. He then convinced the building's owner to sell him the property. In 2002 he leased the American Girl store at 609 Fifth Avenue. He now owns that property with SL Green Realty, and has it on the market, expecting to fetch roughly $500M.
