Penny Pritzker

With a family fortune rooted in the Hyatt brand (and nearly 7% of Hyatt stock herself), Penny Pritzker’s name stands on its own. She is founder of private investment firm PSP Capital Partners and affiliate Pritzker Realty Group. Penny is also co-founder and former chairman of Artemis Real Estate, a DC-based firm with $2B of equity under management.

Her first real estate project, Vi (formerly known as Classic Residence Hyatt), launched in 1987 and includes luxury retirement communities. Penny, a Harvard and Stanford grad, has become immersed in the political world, and became Commerce Secretary in 2013 under the Obama administration.
