Tarrant County has broken ground on another way to get to DFW Airport. The 27-mile TEX Rail will use existing freight tracks from downtown Fort Worth, then head northeast to North Richland Hills and Grapevine, and then into the north entrance of the airport. The $1B rail will connect with Trinity Railway Express, AMTRAK, and Fort Worth Transportation Authority's (The T) downtown bus transfer center at the downtown Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center and T&P Station.

Walsh, a new 7,200-acre neighborhood under development by Republic Property Group in Fort Worth, Texas, will be the first community in the U.S. to be built from the ground up around a dedicated makerspace.

The collaborative workspace will have public access to tools and training in manufacturing for children and adults. The Makerspace at Walsh will debut with a woodshop, computer design software and 3D printers, laser cutters, robotics and an electronics lab.

As if Spaces and WeWork were not enough to compete with local concepts, New York-based Industrious is headed to Dallas. The co-working space will lease 23k SF in One Arts Plaza later this summer. 
The co-working space with locations in New York, Boston, Nashville, Denver, Los Angeles and elsewhere will open at Billingsley’s One Arts Plaza in the Arts District. This will be the second Texas for the hospitality-focused workspace, after opening in Austin in last Fall. 
Billingsley had been looking at co-working spaces for years, partner Lucy Billingsley said in a statement. She said Industrious’ brand blended well with One Arts Plaza. The space will have between 70 and 80 private offices with 24 hour per day access. 
Individual memberships run $450 per person and all members will have access to printing, mail services, conference cervices and fiber internet.
