Del Frisco's Restaurant Group Inc. will take over Cheddar’s office lease in Billingsley’s Cypress Waters.

Del Frisco's will lease the 31K SF building at 2900 Ranch Trail in Irving for the remaining seven years in Cheddar’s lease. About 60 employees from Del Frisco's Restaurant Group’s Southlake headquarters will move to its new Cypress Waters office in November.

Billingsley built the single-story building for Cheddar’s in May 2014, making it the first office tenant in the park. The office is adjacent to 7-Eleven and Corelogic's headquarters.

"Since it was custom-built for a restaurant user, the building works well for DFRG,” Billingsley partner Lucy Burns said.

Darden Restaurants Inc. acquired Cheddar’s in March. As part of a plan to consolidate to Darden’s Orlando headquarters, Darden will eliminate Cheddar’s 69 positions in Cypress Waters. Darden offered 30 employees at Cheddar's North Texas office the opportunity to relocate to Orlando, and 23 accepted, according to the Dallas Business Journal.
