McArthurGlen Vancouver Sets Shopper Traffic Record

McArthurGlen Vancouver, the first North American location for the UK-based pioneer of designer outlet centres, has set a company record for footfall, recording 1 million visitors in under three months. The centre’s initial 240k SF phase opened in July 2015, and total footfall for its inaugural year was 2 million visitors, according to McArthurGlen Group, which manages 20 outlets in Europe and developed the Vancouver location in a JV with Vancouver Airport Authority. A second phase will add 135k SF. The centre was named NAIOP Vancouver’s top retail development and MAPIC’s best outlet centre for 2015.
