Billy Joe “Red” McCombs has quite a résumé. He is a co-founder of Clear Channel Communications and the founder of the private security and risk management firm Constellis. He has had stints of ownership of several sports teams, most notably the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Vikings. He owns the Red McCombs Auto Group, which operates a chain of car dealerships throughout Texas.
Through McCombs Properties, he has developed multifamily buildings, master planned communities and resorts and single-family developments. He has also owned and operated thousands of acres of ranch land in Texas. — Scott Klocksin
