Stefan Persson at the wedding of Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden
Known primarily as chairman of the fast-fashion giant H&M, this Swedish billionaire commands his country’s largest fortune.
His son, Karl-Johan Persson, took over as president and CEO of H&M in 2009, but the elder Persson has kept busy. His real estate investment and management firm, Ramsbury Invest, is known for owning marquee retail properties in world capitals like London, New York and Paris. Ramsbury Invest made headlines last year with its £400M ($531M) purchase of the seven-story building housing Debenhams’ flagship department store on Oxford Street in central London. — Scott Klocksin
