The rapid expansion of D.C.'s coworking market is continuing with another deal from the industry's largest player.
WeWork signed on with JBG Smith to lease nearly 65K SF on floors 25 through 27 at CEB Tower in Rosslyn, the Washington Business Journal reports, citing interior renovation permits.
The 30-story, 560K SF tower at 1201 Wilson Blvd. delivered earlier this year, anchored by a 350K SF lease with CEB. In June, meeting and events space provider Convene signed a 35K SF sublease with CEB's parent company to occupy the building's top two floors beneath the observation deck.
The coworking sector had leased over 400K SF of D.C.-area office space through August, according to JLL. WeWork, now D.C.'s largest private office tenant, in Q2 announced a 200-desk College Park space, leased three floors in Chinatown and added 108K SF to its Metropolitan Square space.
