Ivanhoé Cambridge plans to invest $17M in a renovation of Nanaimo’s Woodgrove Centre that will include upgrades to the food court (rendered above; Bisnow couldn't confirm if Taylor Swift will in fact be a patron), as well as enhancements to the entrance and exterior of Vancouver Island’s largest shopping centre (751k SF, 140 retailers and 6 million visitors a year). Exterior painting is already underway, and interior work will begin in January. The project, to be carried out in three phases to ensure no disruption, is slated to be done in time for the 2016 holiday season.
