With Tsawwassen Mills slated to open this fall — Metro Vancouver's biggest retail happening of 2016 — owner Ivanhoé Cambridge said last week that work on the 1.2M SF shopping centre (above) is progressing quickly. Roof and skylight installations are done, along with paving of a 6,000-stall parking lot. The custom exterior for anchor tenant Bass Pro Shops is nearing completion, and work on co-anchor Saks OFF 5TH's wraps up next, along with other exterior and interior finishes and completion of the mall’s 1,110-seat food court. Power and water are functional within the centre, and roadwork along Highway 17 continues, including a new median barrier to separate eastbound and westbound lanes.
