It has taken seven years, but a milestone was reached with the opening of the $31M new Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon on the grounds of the BC Children’s Hospital. Funding came from donors, McDonald’s Canada and the province. According to RMH BC CEO Richard Pass, the home can accommodate 73 families at once, and serve over 2,500 families annually. RMH BC provides a home environment for families with sick children undergoing medical treatment in Vancouver.
