RioCan Declares Its Malls Bully-Free Zones

RioCan REIT has launched the Red Dot Safe Spot campaign, declaring its 40 malls nationwide bully-free zones. Shoppers at RioCan centres can go to guest services to report bullying and get help, and the company’s partnered with Leave Out Violence, a charity focused on reducing youth violence, to create reddotsafespot.com, a bullying support directory. It also partnered with Degrassi, whose cast members are featured in an anti-bullying PSA, debuted last week during an event at Lawrence Square. Marketing VP Lyle Goodis (snapped with the campaign team) notes RioCan’s the only real estate firm to take a stand against bullying.
