Michaels Takes Former Zellers Space At Orangeville Mall

OneREIT has signed a 10-year lease with Michaels at Orangeville Mall, where the arts and crafts retailer will open this fall in the 19k SF  former Zellers space. The old Zellers has already been redeveloped to accommodate a HomeSense and Sport Chek, which launched in 2014. The 184k SF mall is Orangeville’s only enclosed shopping centre. Last August, OneREIT (formerly Retrocom REIT) sold Mountainview Mall in Midland, ON, and Kenora Shoppers Mall for $16.1M. And in spring, the firm broke ground on a $50M redevelopment of Regina’s oldest mall, Golden Mille Shopping Centre.
