LA Buyer Adds to Phoenix Retail Portfolio

LA-based Westwood Financial Corp continued its acquisition strategy in greater Phoenix with the recent purchase of Avondale Fiesta, a 34k SF Kroger shadow-anchored shopping center at 11435 W Buckeye Rd in Avondale. The company now owns 50 retail properties in the western US, 15 of which are in metro Phoenix. Westwood EVP Joe Dykstra says that, considering the property's solid location, it has the potential to be 100% leased in 18 months. The buyer repped itself, while Marcus & Millichap repped the 12 entities selling Avondale Fiesta.
