The wheels are in motion to redevelop 14 acres in the Disneyland theme park, which would include space for a Star Wars Land. The expansion would essentially be an extension of an existing master plan, approved by the City of Anaheim in 1996. Disney has until 2017 to move ahead with it, reports the Orange County Register. That plan allowed the entertainment giant to build Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney and the Grand Californian Hotel. The site of the Star Wars-themed entertainment currently is occupied by Big Thunder Ranch. [OCR]
