CoreLife Eatery, which offers a variety of greens, grains and broth-based dishes, has inked a development deal that will bring 21 of its restaurants to northeast Ohio and nearby Pennsylvania markets.

Franchisee Billy Lewis, president and CEO of Red Letter Hospitality, plans to establish eateries in metro Cleveland and Youngstown, Ohio, as well as Erie and State College, Pennsylvania, QSR Magazine reports.

CoreLife Eatery specializes in ingredients that go into custom-created dishes. All of its offerings are free of trans fats, artificial colors, sweeteners, other artificial additives and genetically modified organisms. The chicken and steak used by the brand are not given antibiotics or hormones, and the bone broth is slow simmered all day.

Red Letter Hospitality is a management company providing services to restaurant and hospitality operating entities. Lewis comes to Red Letter from TreeHouse Foods, where he was senior vice president and business leader of the condiments division. Last week, Lewis opened his first CoreLife Eatery in Mentor, Ohio.

CoreLife Eatery plans to expand to 300 locations nationwide, including both corporate and franchise restaurants, over the next five years.
