NEW EATS AT SOUTHPARK

City Tavern of Charlotte has leased almost 8,200 SF at SouthPark Mall. The space was the former San Antonio?s Modern Mexican and is next door to Dick?s Sporting Goods. Ligon Commercial Real Estate's Marla Sessoms and Aaron Ligon repped Simon Property Group, which owns the mall, as well as the adjoining boutique retail center The Village at SouthPark. City Tavern?s John Weinbrenner tells us construction should get underway this month in time for a March opening. The restaurant, which tries to capture the history of American dining, features steak and seafood entrees from $12 to $24.
