Tom and Judy Love leased a gas station in Watonga, Oklahoma, in 1965. They turned that into a truck stop empire with more than 400 locations across 40 states.
During 2017 alone, Love’s Travel Shops & Country Stores plans to open 60 new locations.
Last year, the Loves acquired CNG, a provider of compressed natural gas, for an undisclosed amount. Three of their four children work for the company. — Scott Klocksin
