Mahmood Khimji is president of Highgate Holdings, a privately held hotel management firm. The firm was founded in 1988 by Mahmood and his brother Mehdi. Highgate also has owned hotels, notably Manhattan’s Milford Plaza, which it bought with the Rockpoint Group in 2010 and sold in 2014. The firm bought the 618-room Affina Hotel in Manhattan with two joint ventures last year for $217.5M. — Scott Klocksin
