NKF Devencore Adds SVP

David Thistle, who has been a senior sales and leasing advisor in the commercial real estate industry for over 20 years, is joining the Vancouver office of Newmark Knight Frank Devencore as SVP. David moves over from Colliers. In particular, David points to the company’s entrepreneurial spirit with opportunity for growth as the reason for moving over. David’s plan is to produce eight “all-star, youthful advisors --top of the league agents in a team environment.” He points to the recent Dentons LLP lease, addressing several issues relating to satisfying tenant deals, as a transaction that he’s proud of. This was done when he was at Colliers. Dentons wanted to rebrand, improve their offices, improve efficiency, provide staff with more amenities and be transit centred. They ended up in the top space of Cadillac Fairview’s Waterfront Properties. “Truly a great success,” he says.
