Credit for the success of the 1919 Minnesota Court project nominated in the Office Development of the Year project rests in large part with the property owner, Carttera Private Equities, a company that adapted 60k SF of space into 125k SF to accommodate the chief tenant DuPont Canada, as those folks looked around Mississauga for a new home. (Turning 60k SF into 125k SF, isn't that called alchemy?)Martin Dockrill, managing director of the Avison Youngs Mississauga office, which represented DuPont during the search, said these types of property deals--renovations of existing product, increasing density--are a growing trend in Mississauga.
