Brookfield: Office Leasing Robust

Brookfield Canada Office Properties released its Q1 results yesterday, illustrating healthy leasing across the country, says prez and CEOJan Sucharda. The company reported 530k SF of leasing activity in Q1, including 244k SF in Toronto. Itsmajor lease dealsincluded Zurich Insurance at First Canadian Place (11-year, new lease, 89k SF), Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt at First Canadian Place (two-year, new lease, 61k SF), Harper Collins Canada at Hudsons Bay Centre (five-year, renewal, 16k SF), and Freidberg Mercantile at Bay Wellington Tower (seven-year, renewal, 13k SF).
