Big news for Bellevue. The city that Microsoft, Kemper Freeman, and Schnitzer West built has been dormant since the recession, but that's all about to change.
This past week John Su?s Su Development began construction on the city's first big new project in several years—a 21-story apartment tower to be called Soma Towers. That's Phase 1—another 18-story tower is planned for Phase 2.
Bellevue City councilman and Wallace Properties president Kevin Wallace recently told us there is demand for apartments downtown; he added that changes to Bellevue's zoning could spur further development.
