Cushman & Wakefield recently completed a major remodel of its office in Downtown Portland on the park-like terrace level of 200 SW Market St., designed for collaborative space, but flexible enough for privacy.

The company’s revamped digs feature several new design enhancements and amenities making for a more collaborative workplace, according to Jason de Vries, managing principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s Portland office.
“Our offices should be more than a place we go to each day — they should represent the latest thinking in workplace strategy."
A tenant of 200 Market since 1989, Cushman & Wakefield temporarily operated from another suite within the building while renovations took place over the summer.

The new Portland office is equipped with numerous common areas and meeting rooms for increased collaboration, but also two phone booths for private calls and a private wellness room. The space also features Skype for Business technology, on-site showers and smart lighting that adjusts based on occupancy.
Also, the company installed a Kegerator in the expanded café where employees, clients and guests can gather. By next spring, there will also be improvements to the exterior terrace, making it an "outdoor living room."

Scott Brown and Eliza Balen of Portland-based GBD Architects designed the space, which general contractor Mike Krasnow built.
Earlier this year, building owner Russell Development Co. installed new on-site amenities, such as bocce ball courts and a major upgrade on the outdoor terrace area at the 400K SF 200 SW Market St. The building is co-managed by Russell and Cushman & Wakefield, both of which have offices on-site.
