Natural Groceries Plans Big Phoenix Expansion

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, a food and dietary supplement store, inked a lease this week for almost 28k SF at Scottsdale Towne Square, where it will be an anchor. GPS Retail Advisors president Greg Saltz, who repped Natural Grocers in the lease, says the increasing demand for organic food is going to continue to drive the grocer's expansion in Phoenix and elsewhere. In the context of its national growth—18 new stores this year, with more to come in 2016—the company could see as many as 10 new stores in Phoenix in the next few years, he says.
