Anna's Inks Temp Leases as it Winds Down

Costa Mesa-based Anna’s Linens, which is going out of business, subleased 16 of its stores to Party City Corp, which plans to set up Halloween pop-up shops. NJ-based Party City will pay $250k for rent on eight pop-ups in California, five in Texas, two in Georgia and one in Louisiana. The deal will bring in some revenue to the retailer as it winds down operations at 252 retail locations nationwide. The bankrupt Anna's held a lease takeover auction late last month, and managed to sell 41 store leases to FP Stores Inc of Gardena, including a location in Orange County, 2120 S Bristol St in Santa Ana.
