Ara Adjennian (pictured) has been appointed executive director of Thor Equities’ European investments. In his newly created position, Ara will lead Thor’s Paris office—reporting to managing director Jared Hart in London—while overseeing the firm's European expansion. In his 13 years in asset and fund management in European real estate, Ara has also worked as the French retail director for TH Real Estate, an investment and asset manager at HSBC REIM, and a French property manager with Cushman & Wakefield with a €1B portfolio. The company has been investing in Europe since 2008 in 11 global markets—including London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Munich, Barcelona and Madrid—and is currently working on several acquisitions in France, Spain, Italy and Germany. In addition to New York rental apartments and Mexican and North American retail and mixed-use developments, acquisitions and repositionings, European property investments is one of Thor’s main investment strategies.
