SouthStar Eyes Cool Springs Site For Retail Development

SouthStar is proposing another development in the red-hot Cool Springs market. Crossroads at Cool Springs would have up to 180k SF of retail on about 20 acres at the intersection of Carothers Parkway and Liberty Pike. Should SouthStar acquire the site, it would then own two of the four corners of the intersection, about 65 acres in all, the Nashville Business Journal reports.

Across Carothers, SouthStar is developing a Life Time Fitness facility, which will include another 48k SF of retail and office space. Avison Young reps SouthStar on the new proposal, which it will formally debut today at a regional meeting of ICSC in Nashville. The project is still very much preliminary. SouthStar doesn't own the land yet and financing hasn't been secured. [NBJ]
