The Capitol Grille

Vibe: Laid-back, making it easy to converse. Besides, it's where Nashville execs have met for over 100 years.

Food: Vegetables from the Double H Farms garden just four miles from the hotel, and meat from heritage-breed Red Poll cattle that graze on a nearby farm. It's one of Middle Tennessee's first-rate farm-to-table spots.

Epice

Vibe: A modest setting, but elegant.

Food: Authentic Lebanese foods. A flavorful Mediterranean cuisine, in other words, including the likes of a Bustan sandwich or Sayadeya.

Etch

Address: 303 Demonbreun St

Vibe: Sleek and modern.

Food: A culinary venture by Chef Deb Paquette (pictured), offering a fine dining experience.

The Farm House

Address: 210 Almond St

Website: The Farm House

Vibe: Southern aesthetic featuring handmade accents, furniture made from repurposed barn wood, along with Tennessee heirlooms.

Food: Farm-to-table comfort cuisine with various twists; highlights include house-cured and smoked meats, homemade vinegars and house-preserved produce.

Midtown Café

Address: 102 19th Ave S

Website: Midtown Cafe

Vibe: Casual fine dining, art-lined setting.

Food: "The food—modest, unpretentious, but always well-executed—doesn't get in the way of deals or dates," says the Nashville Scene. Also: get a martini here.

Prime 108

Address: 1001 Broadway, Union Station

Vibe: Historic elegance of the original 1900 stained-glass windows, plus walnut paneling and a stone fireplace.

Food: Executive chef Konstantin Rubis' kitchen offers organic vegetables, locally sourced meats, sustainable seafood, and a Maryland soft-shell crab po'boy (pictured), lately added to the menu.

The Southern Steak & Oyster

Address: 150 3rd Ave S

Website: The Southern Steak & Oyster

Vibe: More lively than other business-lunch places, so you might have to speak up. But it's a good lively.

Food: Steak, oysters—it's there in the name—and much more.
