And so it begins. The Hut Group's plans for a 1M SF campus HQ at Manchester Airport is starting to take shape with the completion of the purchase of the 11.6-acre site for the first phase.

There will be 104K SF of offices, plus 168K SF of design and content facilities.

Work will start on the new development in June 2019 and is expected to be completed by July 2020. Winvic Construction has been appointed as contractor.

This is Phase 1 of a four-phase HQ campus development.

Icon Industrial has confirmed the Manchester Airport site's sale. Manchester City Council has already approved plans for the development.

Icon Industrial is a joint venture by Stoford Developments and TPG Real Estate. The partners acquired 45 acres of land from Airport City Manchester in July 2017.

The site is next to the World Freight Terminal, close to junction 6 of the M56 motorway and Greater Manchester. It also benefits from the £290M A6 Manchester Airport Relief Road, significantly reducing journey times to Manchester Airport.
