Urban Denver retail's been growing again as people move to the city, but suburbs with strong fundamentals aren't missing out on new retail either. Urban vs. suburban retail will be a topic at our Denver Retail & Hospitality event July 13 at the Lone Tree Arts Center.

“The City of Lone Tree is fortunate to have strong retail demographics and retail properties, including Park Meadows Retail Resort," City of Lone Tree economic development director Jeff Holwell, who will be a speaker at the event, tells us. As the city grows and its trade area expands, he expects to see new tenants at existing locations, with expansion and development in greenfield sites.

Recently, Greenwood Village-based Alberta Development Partners proposed The Yard at Lone Tree, which would include 71k SF of retail in seven buildings, with three additional pad sites available for potential future development. If approved by the city, the project at Park Meadows Drive and South Yosemite Street would open in late 2017.
