Houston RE Player Establishes Beachhead In Denver

Denver's more than simply a growth market for real estate. It's the next frontier for out-of-towners looking for opportunity, Read King director of development Blake Propst tells us.

That's why Read King, one of Houston's top commercial real estate companies, is setting up shop in Denver, tapping Brian Wood as Colorado director of development (he's pictured with wife Carol and twins Luke and Emma). “The growth and demographics of the Denver metro area are aligned with our long-term strategies," Blake says. "Our clients, both retail and medical, are looking to expand into this market, and they've asked us to partner with them in the process."

Brian Wood comes to Read King from Waner Construction Co, "with deep relationships throughout the state of Colorado," Blake notes. His initial focus will be taking over the company's current pipeline of medical development in and around Denver, soon to be followed by several retail ventures.
