Having read our playful treatment last week of Laurus' company name (that's the new Hunt Valley Inn owner), Cohn Reznick's Kurt Sturn (third from left, with colleagues Joyce Price and Jeremy Colville and La Quinta's David Wilner) wrote in to give us the scoop: Laurus in Latin means success. It's a good thing Kurt knows his languages because he says all the international buyers interested in US real estate mean CohnReznick has to explain US tax laws in foreign languages. That includes for a recent Greek client, rendering true the cliche in our headline.
