Tamara Gustavson is the daughter of Public Storage founder B. Wayne Hughes. She is the company’s largest individual shareholder and sits on the board with her brother, Wayne Hughes Jr.
Public Storage has more than 140M SF of net rentable real estate, spread across more than 2,200 locations. Gustavson is the majority owner of the company’s Canadian arm, PS Canada.
In August 2016, she joined the board of American Homes 4 Rent, a publicly traded REIT controlled by her father that invests in single-family rental homes. She serves as a trustee at the University of Southern California. — Scott Klocksin
