Ross Perot Jr. (the eldest son of the former presidential candidate) is the founder of Hillwood, a developer known for building projects through public-private partnerships. Perot developed and owns Fort Worth’s Alliance Airport, and was the developer of Heritage, a master planned residential community in Fort Worth. From 1996 until 2000, he owned the Dallas Mavericks. He maintains a minority stake in the team.
Perot is developing Victory Park, a $3B mixed-use project spanning some 75 acres near the American Airlines Center, where the Mavericks and the NHL’s Dallas Stars play. When he was 23, Perot circumnavigated the globe in the world’s first around-the-world helicopter flight. — Scott Klocksin
