This native of the Philadelphia area was the son of a barber. Braman and his brother-in-law, Ed Leibowitz, went on to own the Philadelphia Eagles. (He sold the team after nine years of ownership in 1985 for a $120M profit.) Most of his wealth was built on a chain of car dealerships he owns under the banner of Braman Enterprises. His dealerships sell high-end brands, including Acura, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, Porsche and Rolls-Royce.
Braman owns his fair share of real estate along with car dealerships in Florida, including the under-construction Institute for Contemporary Art next to the Miami Design District. — Scott Klocksin
