Jonathan Gray leads the real estate arm of the world’s largest private equity firm. He is responsible for $102B in investor capital that Blackstone has under management in real estate assets. He represented the buyer in one of the largest transactions of any kind: Blackstone’s 2007 acquisition of Sam Zell’s Equity Office for $39B. Among other big deals was the 2007 acquisition of Hilton Worldwide for $26B.
Gray serves as chairman of the board of the company. He and his wife, Mindy, contributed $30M to establish a cancer research and treatment center at the University of Pennsylvania, Gray’s alma mater. — Scott Klocksin
