The 645k SF Charlotte Plaza in Uptown is going to receive a $14M makeover starting soon, according to the new owner of the property, Scarsdale, NY-based Rabina Properties. The company bought the building last year and is planning a modernization to create "an immersive workplace experience.” That is, interiors will be revamped to create more open space and meeting space, the better to foster collaboration.

Rabina will also reimagine the building façade and entry, with natural and sculptural light being central themes, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. The building, which opened in 1982, is 92% leased. The Charlotte School of Law occupies 10 floors, totaling 243k SF; other tenants include Grant Thornton, CITCO, Capgemini, CBRE, Robert Half International, and Hamilton, Stephens, Steele & Martin.
