Construction On Hammerjacks To Wrap Up Early Next Year
More than a year since the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore opened in 2014, a sports and entertainment district is coming to fruition in the surrounding area. Construction will begin soon and wrap up early next year on music venue and nightclub Hammerjacks at 1320 Russell St, across from M&T Bank Stadium, says partner Andy Hotchkiss. The revival of the legendary Hammerjacks will include a concert hall, a courtyard and a sports bar. Sports Bar Game opened last year at 1400 Warner St. New York concert venue Paramount is scouting locations near M&T Bank Stadium.
Using a portion of the casino revenue to create a sports, shopping and entertainment district is identified as a priority in the South Baltimore Gateway Master Plan.
“There’s been new bars and activities since we opened our doors,” says Horseshoe Casino Baltimore assistant general manager Alex Dixon. Alex will talk about how the casino has impacted the area in South Baltimore at Bisnow's Sixth Annual Baltimore State of the Market event on Wednesday, March 2, at The Warehouse at Camden Yards, starting at 7:30am.
