Macy's discount concept, aimed at driving sales and competing with cheaper retailers, is coming to Fairfax.

The retailer is opening a 14K SF Macy's Backstage space within its department store at the Fair Oaks Mall in June, the Washington Business Journal reports.

The Cincinnati-based retailer began rolling out the Backstage concept in 2016. It now has 50 locations, including at Dulles Town Center in Sterling and Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg.
