Restaurants Want University City Locations

Hai Street Kitchen & Co opened its second location in Philly, 125 S 40th St in University City, last week. (This is the line to get in!) CBRE’s Jackie Balin, who repped the Japanese-casual restaurant in its lease of the site along with colleague David Orkin, tells us restaurant operators are eager to locate in University City. With growing employment, and the Penn and Drexel campuses, there’s a natural customer base that’s only getting bigger. Hai Street Kitchen’s first location was at 32 S 18th St, and Jackie says it’s looking for more Philadelphia locations.
