The F1RST apartment building that delivered near Nationals Park last year has drawn several retail tenants, most recently signing a trendy fitness studio.

Barre3 signed a 2,400 SF lease to open in the building at 1243 First St. SE, McCaffery Interests Project Manager Luke Koczela tells Bisnow.

The studio will be the fifth D.C. location for Barre3, which has opened in Union Station, Georgetown, 14th Street and in the tony Northwest enclave Spring Valley. The chain also has a studio in Alexandria and is soon opening in Clarendon and Bethesda, according to its website.

F1RST, a 325-unit building one block north of the ballpark, was developed by McCaffery Interests, Grosvenor Americas and Clark Enterprises. The building's retail offerings also include fitness studio Solidcore, pizza restaurant Declaration and fast-casual chains Taylor Gourmet, Chop't, Chipotle, Roti and Rasa. It has one available retail space remaining, Koczela said.

The Capitol Riverfront project was recognized as the D.C.-Baltimore area's best mixed-use apartment community at Delta Associates 2017 awards ceremony. Its rooftop deck was the first in the neighborhood to be designed with stadium seating to watch events in the ballpark.
