Large-scale industrial space is harder to find in the Vancouver, CBRE's Chris MacCauley tells us, which is why what's going on in the developing industrial hub of Delta is such a welcome sight. Boundary Bay Industrial Park is coming down the line. Phase 1 (450k SF) will be completed in Q1 2014. Companies like Amazon and Costco have been looking and have been unable to find locations to meet their demands, Chris says. Target ended up in Calgary. Expect that to change, soon. Location could be a deal-breaker in some cases, though. The BBIP project sits next to the Delta Container Port and the new South Perimeter Road, which explains why demand so far for this project has been robust.
